Your first step to safety

Founded in 1988, CPR 1st was established by Ernest, an experienced first responder and his wife Debbie, who recognized the need for high-quality, accessible safety training in the San Antonio area. Since then, we've proudly trained thousands of individuals and businesses in life-saving techniques.

Our instructors are made up of experienced paramedics, EMTs, nurses, and certified American Heart Association instructors—both active and retired—bringing  real-world knowledge to 

every class.

We are an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center, which means that our classes meet the highest standards of CPR training. Our certifications are recognized by employers, schools, and healthcare organizations across the country.
